Hello ktimezrw readers to day we are going to see why iPhone don’t have a removable battery maybe you are reading this using your iPhone smartphone but you don’t know why your iPhone smartphone doesn’t have a removable battery so, Today we are going to tell you why.
There are some Android devices around the world on the market today that are still have a feature of a removable batteries. Something that used to be a standard on older phones.
This was a desirable feature since you could simply replace a degrading battery with a new one and restore the phone battery life.
But Apple never included removable batteries on their iPhones but you don’t know why ?
Why Apple never included removable batteries on their iPhones.
Let me explain now.
1.Space
The biggest issue with a removable batteries is how much space they can take up this is due to the housing components that aren’t necessary for a non-removable battery since that they can simply be glued inside a device without any extra parts.
Not to mention that they can be any shape Apple wants in order to optimize or save space.
For example some iPhones batteries have a shape that looks like an “L” to squeeze in more capacity than a rectangular shape would allow.
2.Waterproofing
Another issue is waterproofing if your phone battery can be removed or come out, it means that water can find its way in which is a problem because users tend to drop their phones in toilets, puddles on accident so here high water resistance rating is crucial feature.
The benefit of a removable batteries aren’t relevant today as over a decade ago battery technology has improved so much that most phones are able to last a day or two without needing a battery swap.
And the number of discharge cycles batteries can sustain without degrading is higher than ever meaning that a phone that have been purchased in 2012 may have needed its battery replace much sooner than an iPhone purchased two years ago .
But I can’t leave without saying about the benefit this has for Apple.
Benefit this has for Apple.
User who do hold on to their iPhones for many years will eventually notice a decline in battery performance and since they can’t replace the battery themselves, they are left with two option at that time.
- Option 1: Buying a complete new iPhone
- Option 2: Paying for a battery replacement.
Both of these means more profit for Apple
